Award-winning storyteller Gerry Coleman brings four decades of literary expertise and a passion for the human experience to every page he writes.

His compelling short fiction has earned recognition across multiple publications, including a Best Story award in the Short Fiction Category at the prestigious "Writers In Paradise" Conference. Drawing from his rich Brooklyn roots and extensive academic background—including doctoral work in Educational Psychology at Columbia University—Gerry spent over four decades as a professor of Writing and Literature at Union County College. This unique combination of street-smart authenticity and scholarly depth infuses his storytelling with both heart and intelligence.

Now based in Florida, Gerry continues his mission to elevate the craft of writing. He organizes dynamic writer salons and workshops for WordSmittenWorkShop, helps coordinate events for The Authors Guild's Tampa Bay Chapter, and provides personalized consulting for writers developing full-length book projects.
